ExcelLac 18 is a high starch (energy), high-quality protein dairy meal. The feed consists of 18% Protein which complements well with the components of medium levels of maize silage and/or lower to medium quality roughages such as more mature veld grazing or lower to medium quality grass hays/ silages.
Give a minimum of 3 kg /cow daily (maintenance) production of up to 6 litres of milk produced. Thereafter give the cow 450 -600 grams /litre of milk produced with adlib access to roughages (grass hay, lucerne hay, corn silage)
Challenge feeding the cows to produce more milk of more than 30 litres/cow/day. The meal should be complemented with the young veld green lush or when one has medium to good-quality hay.
